China’s Farizon Auto unveils the SuperVan, boasting modular design, swappable batteries, and cutting-edge drive-by-wire technology.

Farizon Auto, a subsidiary of the Geely Group, has introduced its innovative SuperVan, a modular electric vehicle designed for commercial and urban logistics. With its debut, the van highlights advanced features such as swappable high-voltage battery packs, methanol range extenders, and a flexible platform for customisation.

The SuperVan is built on Farizon’s GXA-M architecture, which enables a drive-by-wire system. This technology eliminates mechanical connections, replacing them with electronic controls for steering, braking, and acceleration. The architecture also allows for the easy reconfiguration of wheelbase, suspension, and steering setups to cater to diverse operational needs.

The van’s body can detach from the rolling chassis, allowing for applications beyond traditional cargo vans, such as camper vans or multi-purpose vehicles. Its adaptability positions it as a versatile solution in various industries.
